A few of my favorites things...

Goldfish, always a tasty snack in the middle of the day.
Haagen Dazs bars - so scrumptious once I got started, I wouldn't let Mommy have even a tiny little bite. I ate the whole thing "all by myself!"
Swimming in the big pool with Daddy!!!
My new bedroom - even though I havn't been brave enough to sleep in my new bunk bed.

"I fingerpaint, Mommy!"

Who needs fingerpaints when markers work just fine. Fortunately for Mommy, these are washable markers. Now Mommy's on the hunt for real finger paint and maybe even an easel set.

Buddies

Pawpaw and Daddy put together a swing set for me and I LOVE IT!!!! Here Elle and I are practicing our swinging skills on the horse. Elle's my good buddy who lives across the backyard from me. She's 10 months my junior and will turn two this month.

Mommy and I went to Nashville for a playdate today and we had sooooo much fun! I got to play with Adeline who turns 3 this month. She has 4 month old twin sisters named Beatrice "B" and Evelyn "Evie." Her mommy and my mommy went to high school together. I can't wait to visit them again!

Summertime!!!

Hurray - it's finally summer which means Mommy is off until August!!! We will spend the summer camped out at a pool or indoors (avoiding the heat) somewhere. I love the pool at Fairview; Mommy and "Aunt" Rachel love the virgin pina coladas.

Happy Birthday Emri !!!

Emri King Lassiter arrived April 16th weighing 6 pounds, 11 ounces and measuring 19 1/4 inches long!!! She is beautiful and we are so excited for her proud parents and older sister who got to meet her a week early! Aunt Rachel is only 8 weeks away from meeting her 2nd baby boy. "Aunt" Ashlie is not too far behind and will join them - also greeting a 2nd daughter!!!

It's a Girl!

Hurray!!! We had our 2nd ultra sound visit at 18 weeks on Thursday and discovered we are going to have another baby girl!!!! I am so thrilled as this is secretly what I desired; although I was totally psyched up to take care of a sweet little Momma's boy. In fact I was so confident I was having a boy, Dustin and I made a bet that if I was right he would have to put Ava to bed all next week while I got to kick back and relax (we usually alternate nights since it gives one of us some much craved downtime as Ava only sleeps about 9 hours a night).

Now for the photos. I typically have too much pride to display such awful family photos - but for the following reasons I thought it would make for an enjoyable blog: (1) I had visions of a taking a nice family photo to post in celebration of finding the sex of our baby - and this is all we got, (2) I'm finding it way to humorous not to share how this family struggles behind the camera, and (3) It's 3 o'clock in the morning and I can't sleep because I caved in and took a Clariten D so I could finally breath out my nose - knowing I wouldn't be able to sleep all night and feeling guilty about taking a medication even though its considered "safe during pregnancy."

Easter Fun

Sweet little Iris - I wanna baby sister just like her; or so that's what I'm told I want...
Don't let this picture fool ya - Isaac was a mad man at the easter egg hunt. This pic was taken after the dust settled and he had collected lots of eggs. I mostly watched the action.
Is it really bad luck to open an umbrella indoors? What's a girl to do when she gets her first umbrella and it's not raining??? I gotta test mine out!

Favorite times in January and February

Hiding from Mommy on a shelf under the cabinet - in my favorite dress,
watching the Superbowl with Isaac and Papaw,
playing coy while Mommy insists on taking a Valentines pic of me and my new Hello Kitty,
celebrating our first "big" snow storm and a snow day for me and Mommy,
and last but not least, going on a wagon ride with Isaac to the playground after he spent the night at my house!

Play nice - and please play by my rules

I tried to have a tea party with Isaac.
But he didn't play by my rules.
First and foremost - I'm in charge of the tea pot!!!!

Hmmmm... what's more fun?

No offense Iris - but after stroller racing around the house with Isaac, posing for a Christmas photo with you is just plain boooooooooring!

We're still here!

Yes - it's been a while since last post. Mommy's laptop crashed right before Christmas and she had to pay to have a data transfer so that when she reprogrammed my computer... blah, blah, blah. Then it never worked properly so Mommy couldn't get her favorite picture program - Picasa - working right. So she got mad and refused to work on the blog until her computer was fixed and she could use Picasa.
Thankfully, Uncle Patrick is going to save the day again and fix Mommy's laptop!!! Meanwhile, she's going to update on my blog a different way - a way she finds more time consuming.
Here's a photo of us at Christmas time. We are in Orlando visiting Daddy's side of the family. (We went to Disney World - those pics will be posted eventually). Little did Mommy know - she was just beginning to cook a little baby brother or sister for me! Come September, we will be a family of four!!!!

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY TO ME!

I turned 2 years old on November 16th! We celebrated last Saturday by having few of my friends and family over to eat icecream cake and open presents. I loved singing the happy birthday song. In fact, everytime I see my birthday cake or my birthday balloons (both are still around) I sing the song again. Maybe we should celebrate my birthday all year long!
Pawpaw is so funny. He makes Isaac and me laugh so hard everytime he counts down "5, 4, 3, 2, 1" and then yells "yeah!" He's so silly.
Elle admired my birthday balloons, but I made it clear that they were mine and she was not too touch them. That is until Mom stepped in and ruined my fun by giving her one. I'm not so sure about this "sharing" activity I continue to be forced to participate in.

Allllriiiiight!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got a "So Suite" doll house! Not sure what to do with it - but it must be a fun toy because the big girl on the box looks excited about it.

Happy Halloween!

This Halloween I got to be a fairy and Isaac got to be as an Indie Rocker. We had fun giving candy to trick-or-treaters; although some were kinda scary. This is definitely the best Halloween I've ever had - seeing that Mommy and Daddy finally bought me a costume this year. Cheapskates.

Papaw and Great Aunt Darlene's Birthday Blowout

I had a ball celebrating Papaw and Great Aunt Darlene's birthdays. Isaac and I played silly games and explored some toys while the big folks enjoyed a delicious feast. Oh - and we enjoyed some good eating, too. But the best part was playing with my goofy cousin Isaac.
