Memorial Day

Memorial Day weekend I got to practice my swim strokes in my BFF's pool. Jordan and I have been taking swimming lessons together and I must say, we've gotten pretty skilled.

Taking time out for a little snack break does a lot for our water-logged bodies.

New York City!!!

Mommy and Daddy's first vacation without me! They went to New York City to celebrate Mommy's graduation and their 7th wedding anniversary. Hey - I didn't mind; I had Mawmaw and Pawpaw to entertain me for a long weekend. I think I wore Mawmaw out. Whenever she started to relax - I would quickly clap my hands together and whine annoyingly until she guessed what I wanted. It was endless fun. Momma finally graduates!!!!!

After four long years of heavy study, arduous paper writing, and endless projects, my mommy finally graduated with her Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology last Saturday. (I entered the world near the end of her program - so I gifted her a 9 month maternity break before returning last fall to finish.)

Now we get to play all summer long and every summer from now on!!!!!!

I'm reflecting on my own future, in this photo. "Hmm... maybe I'll follow in Mommy's footsteps and become a School Psychologist, too!!!!"

Mommy wants to give a special thanks to Daddy, Pawpaw, Mawmaw, Uncle Patrick, Aunt Lorraine, and cousin Isaac for making the trip to Chatty for her graduation. I saw tears in her eyes a few times and thought she was sad - but she said it was because she was so happy that her family was here to see her graduate. And that she was finally done with school!!!!

Coolidge Park

Today we went to Coolidge Park in downtown Chattanooga. I had a great time because I got to run around and meet lots of other little people like me. I practiced saying "Hi baby" to everyone - which I'm sure was very impressive. I'm starting to really like this talking stuff. I practice a lot at home by yelling out as loud as I can. Momma and Daddy love it.

I can already tell you are gonna be a goofball, Reezie - you almost never stop grinning!!!! I sure had fun playing in your crib - too bad you stopped smiling and started crying when I threw a party up in there. What's up with that???

Road Trip!!!!

Last Friday we headed off to visit our friends Glyn, Kate, and Rizal in Louisville, Kentucky. So here I am getting giddy at the thought of a new adventure. I've never met Rizal before - so this is sure to be interesting. I hear he's quite a charmer!

The Big Slide

Even though Ava looks terrified - the big slide is her favorite activity at Playworld Downunder. Funny, she insists on going down the slide on her back, not sitting up like most do (note Jordan's position down the slide).

And yes - we couldn't resist returning again this weekend. We had so much fun last weekend we just had to take Daddy and our friends Eric, Feriba, and Jordan.

Mawmaw and Pawpaw visited me this weekend so Mommy and I took them to my most favorite place in the world - Playworld Downunder. My favorite activity - definitely the big blue slide!!!!

Study time

Ava's been cramming for a big exam on farm animals next week. She's been reading her animal books day and night to prepare. She takes her schooling very seriously. No doubt about it - "She's quite a girl, she is!!!"



 

Marathon nap for a marathon girl

Since Ava is taking a marathon nap - I thought I'd post some cute pics of her while I wait for her to wake up - any minute... She's been asleep for almost 2 hours - and this is her second nap today. Anyway, she got into my shoes the other day and I just couldn't resist taking these shots. Of course my camera delay prevented me from getting the adorable grin on her face. I kept missing the shot and getting her head (I'm already wanting to chuck the digital camera I bought 6 months ago). Now - what to do - ... I want to peek in on her but don't want to wake her up. She got a bug and threw up once last night... so I know she hasn't felt good today. Even though she's felt bad, suprisingly she hasn't acted that fussy. She looks a little peaked and hasn't any apetite. Hmm... Gotta go take a peak...
